What Moms Really Want For Mother's Day
With Mother’s Day coming up this weekend, The Mom Report has pulled together a list of things moms actually want on their special day. This handy list may even help the significant other in your life (the one with no plan or the one that forgets until the last minute), so feel free to pass along! The first five on the list are guaranteed to start the day off right for any mom with young kids!
Don’t get me wrong, we want to spend Mother’s Day with the precious little angels that made us mothers in the first place and snuggle them silly. We would also like a few rare moments of peace and quiet in the day for a little self care. That’s all! So, here’s the list...
Let us unapologetically take an uninterrupted nap for as long as our heart desires. We’ll even go for a quiet morning of sleeping in, even if only for an extra 10 minutes. If you’re feeling super generous, give us both! Whatever you do, let us SLEEEP!
After a night of glorious sleep, we’d like to have a nice, long, hot, peaceful uninterrupted shower!
3. HAIR & MAKEUP!
Next, we would like to have a couple of minutes to actually dry our hair and put some makeup on.
We would also like to enjoy a hot cup of coffee. Like, the whole cup.
5. PRIVATE POTTY BREAKS!
For one day, we would like to go to the bathroom alone. Sure, it’s nice to have our private toilet concierge(s) every day, but on this day we would like to go in peace!
If your significant other still needs some gift ideas, or maybe you need one for your own mom, these are the things The Mom Report knows most moms will always do the happy dance for:
1. SPA DAY!
When in doubt, a gift certificate to a good spa is always a winner. That way she can get a massage, mani, pedi, facial, or anything else that helps melt the stress away.
We LOVE pictures of our little ones and not every photo gift has to be super cheesy. One of our personal favorites at The Mom Report is Artifact Uprising. For classic and timeless photo gifts that look beautiful around your home, look no further. (PS - This is not an ad. We genuinely love and buy their products.)
This one can be tricky depending on mama's style but a little bling goes a long way if it’s the right piece.
4. MAID SERVICE!
A deep clean for the whole house and mama doesn’t have to lift a finger!? Yes please!
5. MEALS AND CLEAN UP!
Give her a break from meal planning and have something prepared (or delivered) for her and promptly cleaned up once it’s done.
Happy Mother’s Day Mamas! I hope your day is as special as you are!
